Man fatally shot in Brooklyn intersection by a man on a bike

NYPD were called to the report of a shooting on July 6th at approximately 10:56pm at the corner of Classon and Atlantic Avenues.

Police said the 37-year-old male victim was the passenger in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by a 27-year-old female when they were approached in an intersection by a man on a bicycle while waiting at a stop light. The man on the bike fired multiple shots into the passenger side of the vehicle, striking the man in the leg and the chest.

The driver attempted to drive away from the location, but struck an object near 619 Classon Ave. Police and paramedics rushed the pair to Kings County Hospital, when the male victim was pronounced deceased. Police said the female driver had no visible injuries.
