NYPS responded to a shooting on July 13th at approximately 1:00am at 2323 Grand Concourse Ave.

On arrival police located 34-year-old Melquan Cooper

According to police Cooper was approached by two shooters on dirt bikes who opened fire on him in front of Love Gospel Assembly. Cooper was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital with a gunshot wound to the torso, where he died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.
