NYPD were called to the area of 688 East 223rd St. on December 5th at approximately 3:35 pm.

On arrival police located Melquan Johnson, 36, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. He was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
