According to reports Milton Storch, 59, was sitting on his walker outside of a bodega at 7:15 a.m. on Aug. 27 when a woman drove her Honda Accord on the sidewalk at Beach 20th Street and stuck Storch. The female driver reversed off the sidewalk and left the victim to die.

Storch was rushed to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital with severe injuries to his torso where he was pronounced deceased.

Storch was not the intended target, the driver and another woman became involved in a heated argument inside of the bodega before taking their fight outside. One woman and her passenger got into a vehicle and mounted the sidewalk.

On Monday August 29th, the driver Kiani Phoenix, 26, turned herself into police and was charged with murder, attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment.
