NYPD reponded to an alert from ShotSpotter, of gunfire in the area of when they received a 911 call directing them to Forbell Street in Cypress Hills on February 10th at approximately 12:34am.

Police said Modassar Khandaker, 36, was getting out of his car at around 12:45 a.m. in front of his home when police say he was shot in the head.

EMS rushed Khandaker to Jamaica Hospital where he died of his injuries. According to reports he had just returned home from his job at John F. Kennedy Airport.

No arrests have been made at this time.
