NYPD responded to a shooting inside a laundromat at 4710 Clarendon Rd., in East Flatbush at approximately 5:50 p.m. on December 1st.

On arrival police located Money Perkins, 37, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Update: According to reports In November 2023, Ronnie Butler, the cousin of Perkins allegedly asked his friend Luis Mercado, 48, to help him kill Perkins. Mercado allegedly recruited his stepson, 16-year-old Zecharyah Slay, who brought along Shaleek Riddick, 19, and Diante Stinson, 20, to help him Kill Perkins.

All five men have been indicted in connection with the murder of Perkins.
