NYPD were alerted of a stabbing at an apartment building at 1335 College Ave. in Mount Eden on January 1st at approximately 4:00am.

 Sergio Garcia, 63, also known as “Bido,” and a 38-year-old woman became involved in a dispute with an unidentified suspect that resulted in Garcia being stabbed in the chest and the woman in the torso. 

Both victims were taken to BronxCare Health System where hospital staff contacted police. Garcia was pronounced deceased at the hospital a short time later, and the 38-year-old woman was listed in stable condition.
