NYPD responded to the report of an assault in progress at Lawyer Jim Li & Associates office on 39th Ave. near 138th St. in Flushing at approximately 11:40am.

On arrival police and paramedics located Jinjin Li, 66, suffering from stab wounds to the neck and chest. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Xiaoning Zhang, a 25-year-old woman from Flushing, was arrested and charged with murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

According to reports, Li refused to take on Zhang’s case on Friday. Zhang came to the U.S. in August 2021 on an F-1 student visa to go to school in Los Angeles, however she never attended and applied for asylum.
