NYPD responded to a shooting near the corner of West 118th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard on July 2nd at approximately 1:39 p.m.

Police located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Police have not released his identity at this time.

No arrests have been made.
