NYPD conducted a wellness check at a home on 56th Drive in Maspeth just after 8 p.m. on January 11th where they located 23-year-old Alexa Ruiz deceased.

 Police said Ruiz was suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of her head in her first floor bedroom.

No arrests have been made and there is no suspect information.
