NYPD investigate the fatal shooting of Anthony Haughton

NT+YPD responded to a shooting near the corner of Georgia and Wortman Avenues in East New York at about 4:29 a.m. on May 19th.

On arrival police located 60-year-old Anthony Haughton suffering from gunshot injuries. He was rushed to  Brookdale University Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

According to Daily News, public records show that Haughton was convicted of promoting prostitution in Manhattan in 1997. The victim was 12-years-old at the time. In 2016, he began his most recent of five prison stays, for another promoting prostitution conviction along with a drug sale charge.
