NYPD responded to the report of an assault at 1123 Halsey St on January 23rd at around 3:39 p.m.

On arrival police located 24-year-old Shaliek Smith, suffering from a stab wound to his chest. Smith was rushed to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center where he died of his injuries.

Police are searching for multiple suspects who fled the scene on foot. They were described as wearing dark-colored clothing and masks.
