NYPD announced that Yaya Kouyate, 48, was found dead lying face up on a bathroom floor at his residence in an apartment building at 1463 Hoe Ave on May 19th at 10:30am.

The initial call to people was a report of a man in need of medical assistance. The Medical Examiner’s office declared the cause of death to be compression to the neck, and manner of death to be a homicide.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information regarding the murder can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
