Police responded to the report of a stabbing at approximately 4:02 a.m. on May 26th in the area of 3rd Avenue and East 97th Street.

On arrival police located a 29-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the chest. He was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital where he died of his injuries.

Investigators said the victim was attacked following an argument with the suspect, described as a 30-year-old man.
