The NYC 2023 Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD responded to a wellness check at approximately 10:00pm, on June 21st at a multi family home on Van Name Avenue near Forest Avenue.

On arrival police located 23-year-old Evelin Barajas Perez with multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. The knife used in the homicide was recovered at the home.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
