NYPD were called an assault in progress at 1600 Sedgwick Avenue, on August 2, 2024, at approximately 6:30pm.

On arrival police located Miguel Cruz, 47, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
