NYPD were called to the report of a shooting at the corner of Flushing Avenue and Steuben Street, at approximately 11:44 p.m. on July 21.

On arrival police located Arturo Jose Rodriguez-Marcano who died of his injuries.

Police said they were then called to a shooting at a shelter where Enny DeJesus Urbina Mendez was fatally shot and another man was injured.

According to brooklynpaper.com,

“Police initially believed the incidents were unrelated, but are now searching for a man caught on surveillance video they now believe is responsible for both July 21 shootings.”

Update: Seasonal parks employee Elijah Mitchell, 23, was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
