NYPD responded to a domestic incident that police describe as a “lovers quarrel” on July 20th at around 3:40 a.m at an apartment on Greene Avenue.

Police arrived to find Jasmin Figueroa,38, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and leg.

Investigators said a 50-year-old man shot Figueroa’s current boyfriend, in the abdomen and leg before shooting her. He then turned the gun on himself, and took his own life.

Police said Figueroa and the gunman were in an on-again-off-again relationship.

Both Figueroa and her current boyfriend were rushed to the hospital in critical condition where she died Thursday July 20th. The other victim survived.
