NYPD Releases Image of Suspect in Broad-Daylight Brooklyn Shooting That Injured 23-Year-Old Man

The NYPD has released surveillance footage and images of a suspect involved in a broad-daylight shooting that took place outside an apartment building at 1517 Park Place in Weeksville around 4:15 p.m. on June 6.

According to police, the suspect approached a 23-year-old man as he was leaving the building, pulled out a gun, and fired multiple shots. The victim was hit in the foot, arm, and groin.

Following the shooting, the gunman fled westbound on Park Place on foot. Officers from the 77th Precinct and emergency medical teams responded to the scene. The victim was taken to Brookdale University Hospital with serious injuries but is currently in stable condition.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect moving quickly down Park Place and reaching toward his waistband. He was last seen wearing a black cap, a blue-and-white sweater, blue jeans, and white-and-gray sneakers.
