NYPD said Cos Jervis Jonas Ajpuac, a 38-year-old homeless man, and a 38-year-old man were beaten in the ShopRite parking lot in Borough Park on Sept. 18, 2024, at around 7 p.m.
The victims were rushed to Maimonides Medical Center where the 42-year-old man with cuts and bruising to his head and body, and Ajpuac was suffering from swelling to his legs and stomach and internal bleeding.
Ajpuac died of his injuries on October 2nd. The second victim was released from hospital.
Investigators said the suspects, Francisco Corocoj, 25, and Manuel Perez, 49, allegedly approached the victims and began striking them repeatedly with the baseball bat and pipes.
