One dead and another injuried in a Bronx Shooting

Bronx detectives are investigating a double shooting that left a Yonkers man dead and a woman injured on the afternoon of April 23.

The incident occurred near 2690 University Ave. in Kingsbridge Heights just before 5 p.m. When police arrived, they found 28-year-old Marji Daoud with a gunshot wound to the head; he later died at St. Barnabas Hospital.

A second victim, a 33-year-old woman, was later found at a Brooklyn hospital with a gunshot wound to her hip and is in stable condition.

Authorities have not identified a suspect or motive. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
