The NYC 2023 Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD responded to a shooting in the area of East Tremont and Hughes Avenue, on Feb 10th at 2:30pm near the Popeyes.

Police said the four male victims were rushed to St. Barnabas where 24-year-old Jeremiah Smith, was declared deceased. The second victim has been listed in critical condition. the other two have been listed in stable condition.

A suspect has been taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing.

Update:  51-year-old Salvatore Rivera of East 178th Street has been arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Jose Parilla, 32, was also arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

A second victim, and the brother of the deceased Devren Smith, 37, Died in Hospital on February 12th.
