NYPD were called to a shooting at East 214 Street, on August 27 at 1:30 p.m.

On arrival police located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed by EMS to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

According to reports the second victim checked himself into hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are searching for a suspect who fled on foot eastbound on 214th Street.
