The NYC 2022 Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD were callled to the report of a shooting in the area of Clay Avenue near the Cross Bronx Expressway, On april 23rd at around 7:40pm.

Police said a 27-year-old man was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital, while a 39-year-old man was shot in the right leg and a 34-year-old man was shot in the left leg. Both men are expected to survive.

The victim has been identified as Joshua Garcia, 27.

No arrests have been made, and police are searching for a suspect who fled the scene in a dark-colored Mercedes.

Update May 14th
NYPD announced that Ariel Martinez, 23, was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. Police said Ariel was one of two people in a black Mercedes.
