Police said more than 30 shots were fired outside a Brooklyn convenience store. Two of the victims at the scene were rushed to Brookdale University Hospital where Andre Lewis, 40, died of a chest wound. The other victim sustained multiple shots to his leg and arm but is expected to survive. The third man arrived at the hospital on his own with a hip wound.

According to the Daily News “As Lewis fell to the pavement, he pulled out a gun and returned fire, according to a criminal complaint.”
