On February 22, 2025, NYPD officers responded to a 911 call about a fight involving knives on Beach 13th Street in Far Rockaway.

By the time they arrived, both men involved had fled. Authorities later learned a 33-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his chest had arrived at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, where he died.

The victim was connected to the earlier fight. Police have not identified him yet and have made no arrests. The investigation is ongoing, and no suspect description or motive has been provided.
