NYPD were called to a shooting in the area of Monroe Street and Patchen Avenue on August 21st at around 4:40 p.m.

Police located a 54-year-old man lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said the suspect fled the scene in a ski mask.
