NYPD responded to a 911 report of a shooting outside 1112 E. 104 St. in Canarsie, March 19th at approximately 2:40am.
On arrival police and paramedics located Christian Montrose, 19, suffering from gunshot wounds to his mouth and torso. Montrose was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny described Christian Montrose as a good kid without a criminal record. Police believe Montrose’s homicide may have been a case of mistaken identity.
No arrests have been made, anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
