NYPS responded to a shooting at 1825 Topping Ave. in Mount Hope at about 5:57 p.m. on May 24th.

On arrival police located Marcus Henderson, 37, suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

A person of interest was located and taken into custody for further questioning. Police have not released what charges they may be facing.
