NYPD were called to the Riviera Gentleman’s Club on Steinway Street on September 24th. According to police, a 45-year-old man was approached from behind by an armed suspect who allegedly tried to take his jewelry.
A struggle reportedly followed, during which the gunman fired a shot that struck the victim in the back. The suspect then fled the area, got into an SUV and drove away along 35th Avenue. Investigators said the shooter does not appear to have taken any property from the victim.
The victim was transported to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries. No arrests have been reported, and the investigation remains active.
