NYPD said Raymond Garcia, 46, was fatally shot inside the lobby of an apartment building at 1096 West Farms Road on Dec. 10th at around 8:00pm.

Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said Garcia was shot more than three dozen times. “We have 38 exit and entry wounds with 19 .40 caliber casings. What’s concerning about this one is multiple witnesses state this was not a continuous volley of gunshots, this was a burst of gunfire.”

According to reports Garcia had allegedly been connected to illicit drug activity. Police believe that the victim was involved in fake prescription pills, after the discovery of label makers, and other things during a search of his apartment.
