Nypd were called to a stabbing outside Live Axe at 96 Lafayette St. on November 23rd, around 1:50 a.m.

On arrival police located 17-year-old Rocco Rodden, suffering from a stab wound and the victim’s 19-year-old brother suffering from a slash wound. The brothers were rushed to Bellevue Hospital by EMS where Rocco was pronounced deceased.

According to reports, an altercation occurred resulting in Gianluca Bordone, 19, allegedly stabbing Rocco Rodden in the chest, piercing the left ventricle of his heart. The teens had been attending a private party.

Gianluca Bordone was arrested shortly after and faces charges of manslaughter and assault.

A memorial scholarship fund has been created in Rocco Rodden’s name.
