The NYC 2023 Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD were called to the report of a stabbing at the Lincoln Houses NYCHA development on Madison Avenue near East 131st Street on July 19th at approximately 8:00am.

On arrival police located Shayla Johnson, 20, with a stab wound to her neck and a stab wound to her chest. She was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem where she was pronounced deceased.

Rodney Johnson, 26, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.
