NYPD responded to the report of an unconscious person at East 176 Street and Mohegan Avenue on July 29, at approximately 7:52 p.m.

On arrival police located 39-year-old Roman Martinez suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
