The NYC 2023 Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD were called to a shooting 987 Myrtle Ave outside the NYCHA Sumner Houses on September 30, at approximately 5:12pm.

On arrival police located three people suffering from gunshot injuries. A 28-year-old victim was shot in the stomach, a 32-year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower back, and 28-year-old, Kyle Forde was shot in the head.

The victims were rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where Forde died of his injuries.

Ryan Nieves of Brownsville was arrested on October 22nd, and charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, and two counts of robbery.
