Update Veo Kelly charged – Samyia Spain fatally stabbed outside a Brooklyn Bodega

Police responded to a stabbing near 77 4th Ave., at St. Mark’s Place, in Park Slope on March 17th at approximately 2:20am.

On arrival police located 19-year-old twin sisters suffering from stabbing injuries. Both women were rushed to hospital where Samyia Spain, died of a stab wound to her chest. The second victim sustained a stab wound to her arm.

Police are searching for two male suspects both described as wearing blue and red sweatshirts, face masks and black pants.

Update: Veo Kelly, 20, turned himself in to police on the morning of March 22. He has been charged with murder, assault, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

According to reports, Kelly allegedly stabbed Spain to death outside after she and her twin sister refused to give him their contact information.
