Shamel Amos fatally shot in the South Bronx

NYPD responded to a 9-1-1 call of a man shot on East 139th Street at approximately 6:00 a.m. Saturday January 22nd.

Police arrived to find 33-year-old Shamel Amos with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and legs. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. According to Daily News, Amos was trying to break up a fight when he was gunned down.

NYPD are searching for two suspects fired at the victim from a Honda CRV with Florida plates.

NYPD announced on March 23rd that Daniel Colon, 23, of Crotona, has been arrested and charged with the murder of Shamel Amos.
