NYPD were called to a domestic assault at a home in the area of Beverley Road near East 48th Street on July 24th at approximately 11:30pm.

On arrival police and paramedics located Shanelle Colquhoun, 26, suffering from stabbing injuries to her neck and arms. She was rushed to Kings County Hospital Center where she was pronounced deceased.

The victim’s 17-year-old brother was arrested at the scene and brought to the 67th Precinct stationhouse for questioning. Police have not released what motivated the attack at this time.
