NYPD 102nd Precinct responded to a shooting in the area of 125th Street, just south of 101st Avenue on September 2nd at about 4:19 a.m.

31-year-old Treva Sookmangal was located suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

On September 3rd, police announced the arrest of 23-year-old Shawn Singh, of Schenectady. He has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
