The NYC 2022 Homicide Victim List is available here

Emergency crews were called to the Boulevard Family Residence shelter at 79-00 Queens Blvd on November 13th at 7:40pm on the report of an unresponsive child. Police said the 911 call came from the boy’s mother, who claimed the child had been choking on food.

The victim, Shaquan Butler, 3, was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced a short time later. An autopsy revealed Butler had died from blunt force injuries to his torso.

As a result of the investigation the child’s father, also named, Shaquan Butler, 26, was arrested on November 16th and charged with murder and manslaughter.
