NYPD responded to a shooting in the area of Fowler Avenue near Morris Park Avenue on February 8th at approximately 1:54 a.m.

On arrival police located Trevor Hughes, 49, suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. Hughes was rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

According to  WABC-TV, the victim was involved in an argument with a person in a Jeep SUV over a parking spot.

Update: Police arrested 46-year-old Lavar Davis, and charged him with second-degree murder.
