NYPD were called to a stabbing near the intersection of West 40th Street and Eighth Avenue around 10:17 p.m., on June 11th.

On arrival police located a 22-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds to her chest. She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The suspect is described as a female, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans who fled down Eighth Avenue. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
