NYPD were called to the report of a foul odor around 4:53 p.m. on July 5. Police arrived at 207 East 27th St. where they located a boy wrapped in garbage bags in front of the building.

NYPD has not released the victim’s identity, however, several news outlets have identified her as 31-year-old female Yazmeen Williams.

On July 8th police announced that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to her head and manner of death a homicide.

Update: 55-year-old Chad Irish, who is allegedly wheelchair bound has been arrested and charged with murder. According to reports, he was spotted by residents and caught on video dragging the body of Williams
