13-year-old Sanjay Samuel fatally shot on his way to school in Queens

NYPD were called to the report of a shooting on September 24th at approximately 8:20am of a Dunkin’ Donuts in Cambria Heights.

On arrival police located 13-year-old Sanjay Samuel, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. He was rushed to Northwell-Cohen Children’s Medical Center where he died of his injuries.

NYPD said a 16-year-old boy turned himself in on September 26th for the fatal shooting. He was charged with second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
