NYPD responded to reports of the stabbing at an apartment on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard in Harlem on December 11th at approximately 5:30pm.

Police arrived to find Saniyah Lawrence, 16, suffering from a stab wound to the neck. Lawrence was rushed to Harlem Hospital but was pronounced deceased.

Police are searching for Zyaire Crumbley, 18, who is wanted for the murder of his girlfriend. He is described as 5-foot-8 and 140 pounds with a dark complexion, medium build and short black hair.

Zyaire Crumbley, 18, turned himself in Monday December 12th in the afternoon in relation to the stabbing of his girlfriend Saniyah Lawrence. Investigators said Crumbley was taken to Harlem Hospital for chest pains after his surrender. According to reports, the teens lived together in the apartment for the past 6 months.
