NYPD responded to a 911 call around 2:06 p.m. on April 19, reporting a shooting at 231 West 149th Street.
On arrival police located a 26-year-old man in a second-floor hallway suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen.
Emergency responders transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he later died from his injuries. Officials have not yet released his name as they work to notify his family.
