29-year-old man killed and three injuries in a Bronx drive-by

NYPD were called to a shooting at the corner of Mount Eden and Townsend Avenues on April 16th at approximately 6:15 p.m.

On arrival police and paramedics located a 29-year-old man, who sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and leg, and three other men who were shot in their legs. They were rushed to hospital where the 29-year-old man died of his injuries.

Assistant Chief Benjamin Gurley said the shooters rode to the location on the back of two scooters from the eastbound side of Mount Eden Avenue when they opened fire. The shooters were the passengers on each of the scooters and are said to have been wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts to conceal their identities.
