According to reports, two man started fighting the the prize redemption area of Dave & Busters located at 234 West 42nd Street at approximately 10:30pm on April 30th.
The argument escallated leading to 42-year-old Jesse Armstrong stabbing 39-year-old Alan Stamford. The victim was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital where he died of a stabwound to the chest.
The suspect was arrested shortly after the stabbing, police said Armstrong suffered a self-inflicted laceration to the buttocks. No weapons were found on the suspect during the arrest.
According to The New York Post Armstrong has 11 prior arrests dating to 1999, including for first-degree gang assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and criminal trespass.
Stamford had 12 prior arrests and was on parole for criminal possession of a forged instrument when he was stabbed to death.
