Police responded to a stabbing at 1925 Bathgate Ave on June 2nd 12:22 a.m.

On arrival, police and paramedics located 39-year-old Shamel Parnell suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Investigators reviewed surveillance footage in an attempt to identify a suspect, and the NYPD has released an image of the individual in question.

No arrests have been made. Police ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
