Police and paramedics responded to a 911 call at 3:37 a.m. on June 24th at an apartment on Olmstead Avenue near Lacombe Avenue.

On arrival at the Castle Hill Houses, emergency crews located a 56-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound to her lower torso in the doorway of an apartment. She was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.

No arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said. Anyone with information regarding the murder can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
